Wave Gotik Treffen 2006

First, I apologize for the lack of updates! The last weeks have been pretty busy between moving, exams, WGT, and personal life. I’m happy to announce I just graduated yesterday! Which makes me a very very happy Marie. :)

So yes, as you probably read on my dA diary, I went to Leipzig, Germany, for the 15th Wave Gotik Treffen, where Aurore and I had a blast! I even met my Internet friend Federica (aka darkmercy on dA) with her boyfriend, and saw Natalie Shau signing autographs at Shauspielhaus before the excellent Deadly Ensemble performance.

It was so amazing to see tens of thousands of goth, punk, death rock, EGL people in four days… Sometimes I just couldn’t believe my eyes and kept on smiling as I walked among those awesome guys. The music was amazing, I was glad to see Moi Dix Mois, Dark Sanctuary, The Gathering, The Deadfly Ensemble, O Quam Tristis, Blitzkid, The Others, Lydia Lunch, Samael, Deine Lakaien, Clan of Xymox, even though I regret not to be able to see every show (there are too many). It was a good occasion to discover new music. Yet I bitterly regret not to have seen Rosa Crux live, as their show was sold out. :-(

A better and detailed WGT review will be available on La Lune Mauve.com as soon as possible. In a nutshell, the WGT was excellent and intense, and I really hope to go to Leipzig next year!

I’m on holidays, and will spend a lot of time on aenemic projects which I will soon talk about. My current obsession wears the name of a Moon, though…
